For a book that is titled ECG MASTERY it didn't seem like I was going to even get a moderate understanding of ECGs. I got this book before I became an ER nurse and I thought this book was ok, but it left me with a lot of unanswered questions. A year after I became an ER nurse and I feel like this book is a waste of time. It does not do a good job of teaching you how to recognize rythms, what those rhythms mean, how to treat those rhythms, or the pathophysiology of those rythms and how you can see that pathophysiology on ECGs. This is a very very basic explanation kind of book. Not worth the money I spent on it for my purposes. A book that I did find very useful and informative is Rapid Interpretation of ECGs.
Finally get it!!! After purchasing this book!!! Quizzes challenge u and make you think rather than go through the motions and become complainant by a tick and flick! You get most out of book if you connect to the on line resources!!! It's very practical for busy clinicians that have to restore so much information in our busy lives!!! Authors are willing to answer the any questions no question is a dumb question!!! They are very approachable!!
