This book is very interesting and thorough. I would consider it a must have for equine practitioners or anyone interested in equine anatomy. Although there are many books discussing the anatomy of equine viscera or limbs, there are not many that discuss the anatomy of the equine head, at least not in great detail, and there none that show the various types of imaging of the head. This book compares the gross anatomy, bone window CT, soft tissue window CT, and MRI of multiple transverse, sagittal, and dorsal sections of the head. Everything, even the smallest structures, is labeled and color coded on each view, so you know exactly what you’re looking at. The book also discusses how CT and MRI work and which is best for imaging certain tissues or structures.
