This book is packed with detailed (research proven) notes on tons of cut flowers. It is an amazing reference book for cut flower growers and I wish I had purchased it when I first started growing on my urban flower farm. Don't think of it like a normal read though, it is a thick encyclopedia of cut flowers (best germinatuon, harvest, storing, planting techniques for each variety). I took off a star for the super lame damage to my book. I bought it new, but someone crammed it in the packing sleeve and bent the front corner. I also took a picture of the sloppy binding job. If I purchase something new then I expect better quality upon arrival. For shame Amazon.
Excellent info, but only reason for only 3 stars is that the paperback version is soooo much smaller font than I thought. Can I exchange it for a larger version? Maybe a hard copy would be easier to read font size.

this book is for the serious cut-flower grower detailing over a hundred annual and perennial plants used in the cut flower trade, seeding, cultivation, and fertilization requirements, post-harvest handling tips, and recommendations on best varieties to grow. while the photos are unfortunately not in color, the details of the text make up for it. this is a vital reference for anyone serious about pursuing cut flower growing. text is concise without being overly dry. very handy and useful!

This is a must have book. The in depth info on each plant is incredibly useful. I have read through it multiple times when compiling culture info for seeds and I know I will refer to it often.
